Tell us something about yourself.

Sara Ishag is an International Model, an entrepreneur, and a humanitarian. She began her modeling career early in her teens and continued to model Internationally while pursuing a career in Finance, Investment Banking & Venture Capital.

What made you decide to be a model?

I had an early interest in fashion and beauty, when I was 15, I was approached by a casting director to engage in an editorial shoot for Essence. This began a series of efforts which would later build a career for me as an international model.

What modeling experience do you have?

I was fortunate to appear in multiple Magazine Editorials internationally including Vogue, GQ, Glamour and Tatler as well participate in Fashion weeks including Los Angeles Fashion week, NYFW, Dubai Fashion Week, London Fashion week, Vancouver & OC FW.

Who is your favorite model and why?

I loved Gisele Bundchen and Iman. Gisele is an excellent example not only as a model but as a person, I love the work she does for the environment and how she managed to become one of the highest paid within the industry by securing large Ad campaigns, this highlights her business acumen. When I was a child Iman was one of the first East African Models to make a name for herself, she opened doors for future ethnic models to build they’re careers.

How do you prepare for an IMIRAGE magazine shoot?

By studying the vision board, a few days prior to mentally prepare and also rest, hydration, skin and hair care is important.

What was the hardest photo shoot you've done?

A shoot at Joshua Tree during the winter, the garments were not suitable for the weather, and it was necessary to portrait comfort and ease on-camera so it was a painful challenge.

Tell me about your biggest modeling accomplishment.

Appearing in Vogue magazines both in Editorial Print and from the Runway was a highlight, Vogue is known to be the highest standard a model could aim for, as well as walking the Runways in Dubai and London which helped me make my debut as an international model. However, appearing in Magazine covers brought me true joy and gratitude, it was a vision I had very early on. However, I love being a creative and I’m always thankful to continue to work regardless of the platform.

What is one professional goal you have for yourself?

To execute everything on my vision board. Which is a secret ;) however I’d say to ultimately advance both my creative work and business acumen, growth is always the goal in every aspect of my life. Ultimately, I aim for balance and fulfilment in both my personal and business life

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Expanding my Humanitarian efforts globally, I believe service and good deeds is what we should leave behind and continuing to travel the world, explore and learn. I believe I am a student of life.
