NEW GROUND, SAME EDGE

In a world where structure reigns, Maria Paula Cañón dismantles the boundaries of classic tailoring with a nonchalant flick of the wrist. Captured by Kapture Studio at their new, multifaceted location, she glides through each frame as if walking a fine line between elegance and defiance. The versatile space—equal parts raw and refined—becomes an extension of the story, allowing for seamless shifts in tone, light, and perspective. It’s not just a studio—it’s a stage for reinvention.

Her silhouette—long, lean, and perpetually aware—oscillates between oversized menswear and delicate nods to femininity. Think sheer socks with slingbacks, pinstripe suits softened by pastel light, and a black-and-white houndstooth coat cocooned in quiet rebellion.

The wardrobe, styled by Sara Serrato, fuses the codes of power dressing with playful disruption: long ties where necklaces should be, glitter boots with corporate gray, and a palette that pivots from cream to noir, always underscored by the starkness of contrast. Each look questions uniformity and answers with contradiction—masculine cuts made seductive, high fashion seated on hardwood floors.
Hair and makeup by Milena Cuellar is kept intentionally fluid—clean skin, a soft wave, and brows that whisper strength. The beauty is subtle yet unwavering, letting fabric and form dictate mood. There is no overt drama, only suggestion, restraint, and the kind of poise that turns stillness into statement.
The final shot, draped in sweeping red curtains, is less an ending and more a theatrical bow. Maria Paula stands poised in ivory tailoring, a modern-day muse caught mid-transformation—half behind the curtain, half out in the open. She is the woman who rewrites codes, not with rebellion, but with refinement.
